A LITTLE ABOUT ME.....

RP-301-print-edited.jpg

A native of the small Pacific Northwest town of Centralia, WA, I was fortunate as a child to receive magnificent training in the performing arts from dedicated teachers who saw the value of traveling from larger markets to bring quality arts education to my hometown. I was immersed in music and dance lessons from a young age, and influenced by my own parents' love of classic film and excellent music to truly cherish the arts. After seeing the musical “Showboat” and realizing that powerful storytelling was alive in musical theatre, I knew that I had discovered my future career path. Soon after completing my AA in Acting at Centralia College, I was elated to receive the news that I had booked my first professional show in the Seattle market off of my first audition! I continued working all over the Puget Sound region and learned an incredible amount from the actors with whom I had the opportunity to share the stage. I earned my place in Actors' Equity via my work at the Village Theatre, where I participated in many Mainstage productions as well as the development of several new works. My time in the Puget Sound afforded me the opportunity to work with such notable talents as Brian Yorkey (Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winner for "Next to Normal"), Martin Charnin (Tony Award, Drama Desk Award for "Annie", among many other things) and Puddles the Clown (Puddles' Pity Party). I recently decided that it was time to pack up all of my experience and make the move to NYC, where I've been focusing on planting deep roots, making connections, and maintaining my skills. Now that I'm settled, it's an understatement for me to say that I'm looking forward to the next chapter of my career!
